We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to join our specialist care team supporting a young man in his late 20s in Llandudno.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care while supporting a client to maintain an active, independent lifestyle following a spinal cord injury.
About the ClientYou'll be supporting a young man who sustained a C5/C6 spinal cord injury, resulting in paralysis. He lives independently in his own home and enjoys making the most of life with the support of his dedicated care team.
His interests include:
- Walking his dog
- Listening to 90s music
- Visiting the beach
- Road trips and adventures
- Spending time with family and friends
As part of his support team, you'll help him continue enjoying the activities he loves while providing the specialist care he requires.
As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide both practical and emotional support, enabling the client to live independently and achieve his personal goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and hoisting
- Catheter care and bowel management
- Medication administration and health monitoring
- Supporting community access and social activities
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience as aComplex Care Support Worker,Healthcare Assistant,Support Worker,Care Assistant, or Community Care Worker
- Experience supporting individuals with:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Hoisting and manual handling
- A caring, reliable, and empathetic nature
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to supporting independence
- A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle(essential)
