About the role Applications are invited for a Lunchtime Supervisor for 1 hour per day to join our friendly team of staff who supervise pupils between 11:45am and 12:45pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

Role Overview :

To ensure the safety, wellbeing, and appropriate behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period, both in the refectory and during playtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise pupils in the refectory, promoting good behaviour, hygiene, and order.

Assist with the efficient serving of meals, including handing out plates of food to pupils where required.

Monitor pupils while eating, ensuring a calm and safe environment.

Encourage positive interaction and adherence to school rules.

Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area in line with school expectations.

Supervise pupils during playtime after lunch, either outdoors or indoors as required.

Ensure pupils’ safety at all times and respond promptly to any incidents or concerns.

Manage behaviour in line with school policies, promoting respect and inclusion.

Support and encourage safe, active, and positive play.

General Duties:

Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies of the school.

Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to the appropriate staff.

Work as part of a team to provide a safe and supportive lunchtime environment.

Person Specification Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to supervise and manage groups of children effectively.

Calm, patient, and approachable manner.

Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety practices.
