Background

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the enthusiastic and forward‑looking team of Clinical Dental Tutors and academics at the University of Birmingham teaching undergraduate dental students registered on the BDS degree programme. Teaching on the open plan clinics, supervising patient care, at the Birmingham Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry provides an excellent opportunity to shape the future dental professional using modern assessment and feedback technologies.

The state‑of‑the‑art Dental Hospital and School opened in 2016 as the first integrated, stand‑alone facility of its kind in the UK for almost 40 years. Students have access to microscopes and other modern dental equipment to ensure they get the clinical experience they need to enter the profession upon graduation. This role has a focus on teaching in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Primary Care Dentistry.
