Teacher Active is currently recruiting Residential Support Staff to work within a residential care setting in the Drefach area. This is a rewarding opportunity for dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable individuals looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

The Role

Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting
Build positive, trusting relationships with residents
Support emotional wellbeing, independence, and personal development
Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Encourage engagement in daily routines, activities, and education
Respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations and behaviours
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to meet individual care plans

Requirements

✅ Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
✅ Ability to support young people who may have experienced trauma or severe crises
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
✅ Ability to work effectively as part of a team
✅ A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and SCW registration  (essential)
✅ Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential) and willingness to work a mix of days, nights and weekends.
