Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Term Time Only
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Start Date: September 2026
We are recruiting Complex Needs Support Assistants to join a specialist educational setting in Llanelli, supporting pupils aged 3-19 with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils build confidence, independence and life skills within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small‑group basis
- Encourage communication, engagement and independence
- Assist with sensory, creative and outdoor learning activities
- Support daily routines and personal development
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Help create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils
- Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
- Remain calm, adaptable and supportive
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing - Experience in Education or Teaching Support, Autism Support, Support Work, Residential Children’s Care, Youth Work, Mental Health Services, Sports Coaching or Outdoor Education is beneficial but not essential
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- EWC Registration (or willingness to obtain)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
