Welsh-Medium Level 2–3 Teaching Assistant – Llanelli

Teacher Active is currently recruiting Welsh-Medium Level 2–3 Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Llanelli. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils within a Welsh-medium education setting.

The Role

Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive Welsh-medium lessons
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
Assist learners with a range of learning needs and abilities
Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Support classroom activities, interventions, and learning programmes
Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and the wider school team

Requirements

✅ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
✅ Fluent Welsh speaker – essential
✅ Experience working within a Welsh-medium education setting is desirable
✅ Previous experience working with children or young people
✅ Experience supporting pupils with ALN is desirable
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
✅ Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
