Overview
Our clients successfully deliver projects to the residential, commercial, renewable energy, waste and minerals sectors. Working across the United Kingdom they offer a range of fully integrated preconstruction services, helping facilitate the development of both brownfield and greenfield land. They now require a Graduate Environmental Consultant.
Role:
Graduate Environmental Consultant. Ideal candidate will be a recent postgrad with an MSc in Geology/Physical Geography/Earth Science, etc. Initial work experience would be a bonus (e.g., consultancy/regulatory background) but is not essential. Role is full time and based in the Llanelli office in SW Wales. Ideal start date would be around the beginning of March.
Responsibilities
Undertake the preparation of Environmental Permit applications (including variations, transfers and surrenders) including liaison with relevant internal project teams and external organisations.Assist with the preparation of Planning Applications and Environmental Impact Assessments including liaison with the relevant internal project teams and external organisations.To prepare or assist as appropriate in the preparation of other technical reports and environmental assessment documents pertinent to the clients' requirements. These could include, for example, Air Quality Assessments, Noise Assessments, Geological and Hydrogeological Assessments, and could be for a range of development proposals.To assist other teams within Sirius Environmental and the Sirius Group in respect of waste & recycling, minerals and energy development advice, environmental report preparation and project management.Assist with the organisation and supervision of environmental technical assessments and/or investigations, relating to waste & recycling, minerals and energy developments including in or ex-situ testing where required.Any other duties of a similar nature which may be assigned from time to time.Qualifications
- MSc in Geology, Physical Geography, Earth Science or related field.
- Initial work experience in consultancy or regulatory environments is a bonus but not essential.
