Are you a qualified accountant looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? This company is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee its financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills/experience required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Excellent understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and operational finance in a commercial environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex reconciliations and implement ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail and a rigorous approach to financial controls.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Main responsibilities:
  • Manage and support a team of two, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to shape financial strategies and reporting.
  • Oversee key financial systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead on VAT-related matters, including preparation, submission, and advisory.
  • Review and manage payroll, PAYE, NI, and other statutory returns.
  • Prepare management accounts and year-end financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance systems.
  • Lead internal and external financial audits, ensuring excellent outcomes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor debtor levels and lead discussions to ensure timely debt collection.
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure value for money from suppliers.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including P&L variance, cash flow, and KPI reporting.
