Hours35 hours; shift pattern will include weekends and sleep‑ins.
Salary£25,935 pa, sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night, and travel expenses paid 45 pence per mile.
ContractFixed Term Contract – Temporary until July 2026.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role you’ll be working alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. You’ll be visible in the day‑to‑day operation of the service supporting duties in line with the requirements of the people we support. You’ll be working shifts on a rota basis which may include sleep‑ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service, providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one‑to‑one meetings and appraisals, and holding team meetings.
Above all else, your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.
- Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards it)
- A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
- A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
- Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
- A full driving licence – essential and happy to travel for meetings and training
- Access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities, and obtaining business insurance for your vehicle, for which we pay 45 pence per mile
