Llanelli, Carmarthenshire (SA15)

Hours:

Full Time, 35 hours per week

Shifts:

8:30am - 9:00pm and occasional nights, 9:00pm - 8:30am
Salary: £15.60 - £16.20 per hour
Level 5 Qualified Salary: £16.10 - £16.70 per hour
Reporting to:
Registered Manager

Note:

Successful candidate needs to be fully flexible and available to work their share of weekends.

What You’ll Do

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the daily operations of our supported living services. You’ll lead and inspire a team of support staff, ensuring that we deliver outstanding care and support in line with regulatory standards (CQC/CIW). We offer you the autonomy and responsibility to make a difference while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example:
    Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of support workers. You’ll be hands-on, supporting them while creating a positive, inclusive work culture where everyone thrives.
  • Service Coordination:
    Oversee the daily operations of our services, ensuring person-centred care is delivered and that we comply with CQC/CIW regulations.
  • Rota Management:
    Manage scheduling to ensure the right people are in the right places, keeping staffing levels flexible and efficient.
  • Quality Control:
    Conduct audits and assessments to maintain high standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supportive Leadership:
    Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to your team, including crisis management and safeguarding; ensure all support plans are delivered effectively.
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
  • Minimum qualifications:

    QCF Level 3 or NVQ Level 4 (Ideal candidates will hold QCF Level
    5)
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team
  • Deliver high standards of person-centred care and support, working closely with residents
  • Support the Home Manager in achieving financial targets for the home
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal company standards
  • Take responsibility for the overall management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • UK Driving Licence required
