As a member of the care team your role is to promote as much personal and physical independence and choice as possible in the activities of daily living undertaken by the service user within their home environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist with washing, dressing, toileting, eating and drinking, personal grooming, taking medication, preparation of meals
- Assist the service user with catheter care/continence, stoma care, medication, pressure area care
- Assist the service user with maintaining mobility, daily living / functional skills
- Assist the service user with domestic duties washing, Ironing, cleaning tasks
- Assist with collecting pensions/prescriptions, talking and listening, reminiscing, helping to maintain links with family and friends, assisting with social and recreational activities, reading/writing
