About the roleAs a Scheme Support Officer at Marins Close, you'll play a vital role in supporting up to 15 residents to build the skills and confidence they need to maintain their tenancy and move towards greater independence.
Working closely with each individual, you'll provide personalised support, help them access external services and opportunities, and encourage positive outcomes tailored to their needs.
You'll also create and deliver engaging indoor and outdoor activities that foster a sense of community, wellbeing and belonging. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference by empowering residents to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Day to Day Duties:- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
- Wellbeing checks
- Organising and participating in internal and external activities
- Maintenance checks such as health & safety, fire safety
- Cleaning as required
- Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
Skills and Experience Needed- Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
