About the Vacancy

Contract type: Permanent Term Time Only

Location: Llanelli

Grade: A +4%

Salary: £25,949 (Including Real Living Wage Supplement) – pro‑rata for part‑time or term‑time.

Contract hours: 11 hours per week

Annual hours: Contingent on school contracts; up to 10 days of holiday cleaning.

Responsibilities

The Cleaning Service maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all schools in Carmarthenshire. Core duties include:

  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
  • Emptying waste bins and replenishing consumable items.
  • Deep cleaning as required.
  • Using cleaning equipment, machinery, and chemicals safely and in accordance with health and safety guidance.

A keen eye for detail and pride in performance are expected. The role may require flexibility to assist with other cleaning tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility to support other cleaning requirements.
  • Enhanced DBS check with Barred List – applicants barred from regulated activity with children or adults at risk are ineligible.
  • Basic Welsh speaking ability (Level
    1). Reasonable support will be provided.
