Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead the development and management of a brand new Children’s Residential EBD home in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established children’s residential service provider committed to delivering high-quality care and support for young people. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the operational delivery of the new children’s residential home, ensuring compliance with all statutory and organisational standards.
Leading and supporting staff to provide a high standard of care, safeguarding, and support for children and young people.
Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external professionals to promote positive outcomes.
Ensuring the home adheres to all relevant legislation, including the All-Wales Safeguarding Procedures and RISCA 2018 guidance.
Creating a safe, homely environment that promotes the wellbeing and development of children and young people.
Managing challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
Overseeing staff training, supervision, and development to ensure a skilled and motivated team.

Requirements & Qualifications:

NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children’s Services only).
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
Proven experience working within a Deputy or Registered Manager role in a residential children’s home, ideally within EBD.
Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance relevant to children’s residential care.
Full UK driving licence and the ability to work flexibly.
