Grounds Assistant

A Grounds Assistant is responsible for maintaining and caring for the resort grounds. This includes planting, grass cutting and clearing the grounds to ensure an attractive, clean appearance of the resort and that the property is maintained to a high standard.

What will I be doing?

A Grounds Assistant is responsible for planting, grass cutting and clearing the grounds to ensure that the property is maintained to a high standard. A Grounds Assistant will also be required to ensure the lawns, trees, and hedges are kept to the required standard. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• To undertake general ground and garden maintenance to the standard required by the company
• Plant seeds and maintain plants for maximum growth
• Ensure lawn is well kept and mowed regularly
• Ensure trees and hedges are trimmed to the required standard
• Weeding of paths and borders
• Ensure leaves are cleared from the grounds
• To assist with refuse & recycling collection and disposal
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned (moving furniture)
• Ensure monthly safety inspections take place
• Winter maintenance, clearing snow and ice from paths and roads
• Pathway maintenance, slab laying
