You will be responsible for ensuring all areas equipment is tested, calibrated and replaced to support our operational teams work, along with managing the certification off equipment, working with 3rd party vendors to ensure we have resilience and plans in place across our team’s plant and equipment inspection schedules.

You will work closely with our operational teams to support operational workloads as appropriate.

This role is Peripatetic, and we encourage a hybrid working approach, although we’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you.

  • Provide logistical support for OHL teams during capital works and coordinate equipment for emergency response and resilience plans.
  • Oversee statutory testing, PAT testing, tool inspections, and calibration of equipment to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage centralized stores, process equipment requests, maintain service records, and ensure accessibility for audits, including Legionella controls.
What You’ll Have
  • Modern apprenticeship or equivalent including City & Guilds 232 and relevant NVQ’s / QCF’s
  • Ability to work unsupervised on a wide range of OHL assets and equipment.

At National Grid, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace for everyone.
