Weekend Sales Assistant

Overview

Yorkshire Trading Company is a family-owned business with 36 stores across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East. We operate an e-commerce operation and outdoor events teams that trade nationwide. We have an opening for a weekend team member in our Buxton store.

Position: 14 hours per week, weekends only (may suit college students). The role involves restocking, merchandising, customer service, and cash handling. Our goal is to provide high‑class customer service and increase the company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain a fully stocked store.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
• Welcome and greet customers.
• Process sales through our ePOS till system – training given.
• Actively involved in receiving deliveries.
• Keep up to date with product information.
• Accurately describe product features and benefits.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

• Previous retail experience beneficial but not essential; training will be given.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-service focus.
• Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality.

5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
