Wychavon Area Social Work team is looking for an experienced/senior social worker to join the Team. The Wychavon Area covers Droitwich, Pershore, Evesham and surrounding areas. It is a beautiful location to work within and the work is both varied and interesting. As the area is rural, access to a car is essential to complete home visits.
In Worcestershire we have adopted the 3 Conversation model of practice which involves a strength‑based approach to working with people. You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and have the ability to approve and purchase support packages to enable people to make positive changes in their life.
We have one vacancy but are considering different options as to how the skills of the potential candidate might be utilised to support the service. While seeking workers to undertake case management, we are also looking for an individual who might wish to specialise in shorter‑term duty work.
Duty work requires operating from the office in Pershore 4/5 days a week, while case management requires a minimum of 2 days based from Pershore. The duty role would be office based and the case management role will include both office and home‑based working.
You will need the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers. You are given opportunities and supported to be creative, innovative and search for strength‑based solutions. We are a very supportive and friendly team. We promote a positive team culture and learning environment which includes regular reflective practice and catch‑up sessions.
If you are interested in this role please send your updated CV.
