OCDC Janitorial

OCDC JANITORIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow directions from Team Lead/Supervisor
• Required to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must assist with other duties when required (physically demanding)
• Clean assigned areas, furnishings and fixtures according to established janitorial procedures
• Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
• Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, WSIB, and WHIMS
• Report any occupational hazards to Crew Leader
• Maintain “Daily Log Books”, where required
• Follow all policies and procedures of OCDC and Orla Mine (where required)
• Attend Safety Line Meetings
• Attend Staff meetings and Training Courses as requested

• Willingness to communicate, work independently and responsibly
• Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner
• Physical fitness and a commitment to the position and team
• Ability to follow instructions
• Maintain and demonstrate good housekeeping skills with equipment and work area

• Previous experience as a Janitor is preferred
• Any satisfactory combination of education, training, experience, or abilities in a related field
• Pre-Employment Medical required

Starting Wage: $21.27/hr
OT paid time and half (1.5)
14 days in / 14 days out – 12 hour shift
