Municipal Worker – Ice Maintenance

Position: Municipal Worker 2 – Ice Maintenance
Become a valued part of the Arenas team as a Municipal Worker 2 in Lloydminster, Alberta. This part-time, seasonal position combines ice maintenance, custodial tasks, and delivery of customer service.

In this role, you will operate the Zamboni and conduct daily custodial work to maintain ice surface conditions at local Arenas. You will interact with users, manage event preparations, and ensure safety protocols are consistently applied. Mechanical checks and record keeping will also be part of your routine duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Zamboni for ice surface upkeep

• Complete daily custodial tasks, including sanitization

• Perform mechanical inspections of facility equipment

• Maintain detailed operational records and documents

• Set up and dismantle event equipment efficiently

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 or GED required

• One year of relevant arena experience

• Proficient in basic computer operations

• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License is necessary

• Forklift Certification preferred
