About the Role
ADM’s Lloydminster Oilseed Plant is seeking a skilled Welder to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and infrastructure. This role is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on a wide range of industrial equipment in a fast-paced agricultural processing environment.
The Welder will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure all welding work meets ADM’s standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence. This position requires flexibility, including shift work, weekends, and after-hours call-outs as needed to support plant operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work using various processes (, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW)Repair and fabricate structural steel, piping, guards, platforms, and plant equipment componentsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specificationsInspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specificationsTroubleshoot and repair damaged or worn equipment componentsWork in accordance with established safety policies, procedures, and safe work practicesMaintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and orderly conditionCollaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesDocument work completed and report any equipment or safety concernsRespond to after-hours call-outs and emergency repairs as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedWhat You BringStrong welding and fabrication skills in an industrial or manufacturing environmentExperience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial materialsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawingsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanshipEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a teamStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasksCommitment to maintaining ADM’s high standards for safety, quality, and reliabilityEducation and ExperienceJourneyperson Welder certification or equivalent experience preferredMinimum of two (2) years of welding experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environment preferredRequire a minimum an ABSA certified grade B Pressure welder.Welding tickets or certifications (CWB or equivalent) considered an assetHealth, Safety, and Environmental ResponsibilityProven history of working safely and actively participating in safety improvement initiativesAbility to work in accordance with local and provincial legislationFull understanding of and accountability for compliance with all safety and EHS requirementsBenefits and Perks
