We are looking for a meticulous Purchasing Agent responsible for maintaining the quality and quantity of inventory. The role involves sourcing quality suppliers, ideally with options for plus sizes, and keeping up with market trends to ensure our inventory aligns with current demand. At Lush Lavie, we prioritize product quality and appearance.

Responsibilities
  • Verify purchase orders against available stock using master lists.
  • Correct mistakes or unclear orders and suggest alternatives when products are out of stock.
  • Schedule delivery of stock items.
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers to maintain inventory levels.
  • Verify product shipments upon arrival.
  • Forward payment receipts to authorize purchases.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible records.
  • Provide advice on scheduling, inventory planning, and control based on data analysis.
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
  • Resolve purchasing issues and discrepancies.
  • Review supplies to ensure quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels regularly.
  • Prepare and submit reports on revenues, expenditures, and other metrics.
  • Keep records updated.
  • Report on KPI data to evaluate vendor performance.
  • Participate in cost reduction activities and monitor price changes.
  • Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Previous experience as a purchasing agent or similar role.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Organizational and documentation skills.
