In this part-time role at the Lloydminster hemodialysis unit, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care for patients. Your critical thinking and organizational skills will be essential in managing diverse nursing duties in alignment with current policies and standards. You will also be expected to complete necessary training and have effective communication with patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning
• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Facilitate hemodialysis training for patients
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited LPN education program
• Active registration or eligibility for practice permit in Alberta
• Physical Assessment, IV Therapy, and Medication Administration courses
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs (18 kg)
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant acute care experience
