We are seeking an experienced Freelance Civils Site Manager to oversee a civils and groundworks project on the outskirts of Edinburgh. This is a short-term contract role, ideal for a hands-on manager with strong groundworks experience.

Role Responsibilities:

* Day-to-day management of site operations

* Coordinating groundworks and civils activities

* Managing subcontractors and direct labour

* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

* Maintaining site records, RAMS, and daily reports

* Liaising with the project manager, engineers, and suppliers

* Ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Civils / Groundworks Site Manager

* Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, earthworks, and associated civils

* Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)

* Ability to manage short-term programmes and fast-paced works

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Right to work in the UK
