We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance Assistant to support a busy school environment on a part-time basis (22 hours per week).

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with previous facilities or maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and well-presented.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks, including:

* Basic building fabric repairs

* Minor plumbing repairs (e.g., taps, toilets)

* Basic joinery and patch repairs

* Changing lamps and minor electrical tasks (where qualified)

* General upkeep of internal and external areas

* Assisting with compliance checks and safety inspections

* Supporting the wider facilities team as required

The role is based within a school, so professionalism, reliability, and a proactive attitude are essential.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous facilities or maintenance experience

* Experience working in a school or similar environment would be advantageous

* Basic multi-trade skillset

* Strong understanding of health & safety

* Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently

* Valid PVG (essential)
