Electrical Controls Engineer

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex control systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment. This role directly impacts plant performance by enhancing equipment reliability and supporting engineering-based improvements.

• Design, specify, and program PLCs, DCS, HMIs, servo systems, sensors, and drives
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, OEMs, and vendors for equipment design, installation, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot and modify control software to improve machine and system performance
• Lead small capital projects and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Integrate MES systems and coordinate machine data collection
• Provide training and mentorship to engineering, maintenance, and operations personnel
• Stay updated on new automation technologies, safety regulations, and best practices
• Provide after-hours/off-shift technical support as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in high-speed manufacturing environments
• Experience with Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens PLC hardware/software
• Strong knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and Cognex vision systems
• Hands‑on MES, robotics (Mantec), and process controls experience
• Familiarity with MS Project and SAP
• Skilled in AutoCAD, HMI design, and industrial automation programming
• Personable, driven, eager to learn, and strong technical aptitude
