SummaryDirect Care Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Residential Specialist, Home Health Aid, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and other related roles – we’re hiring immediately, no experience necessary! The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in either residential or community settings, maintaining sensitivity to the rights and dignity of each individual. DSPs assist with activities of daily living, implement individual programming, and support independence, interdependence, and community integration.
Job Description- Develop relationships with those we support to promote their emotional, physical, and personal well‑being.
- Assist adults in developing life skills such as cooking, housekeeping, money management, personal hygiene, and other appropriate skills.
- Support the individuals’ preferences and ensure their interests are honored.
- Actively seek opportunities for individuals to experience life in their homes and communities based on their hobbies and interests, using community resources to enhance integration.
- Help individuals reach goals to become more independent through guidance, instruction, and role modeling.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely, including electronic health record entries.
- Collaborate with agencies, family members, and other service providers, participating in meetings and providing relevant information.
- Assist with arranging medical care and follow health‑care recommendations, including dietary guidelines.
- Conduct fire drills, manage emergency situations during assigned shifts, and provide coverage during emergencies.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle for trainings, meetings, and transportation of individuals to appointments.
- Ability to administer medication and treatment as permitted under regulations.
Full‑time schedules – 2nd shift or 3rd shift with weekend availability. CSG offers a two‑week paid orientation with foundational training before providing services and reimburses mileage for orientation travel.
Wage InformationBase rate of $17 per hour with potential to earn up to $21 per hour depending on location and shift.
