Support Worker – Children (Residential Childcare)

Location: Lockerbie, Scotland
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £24,667 to £25,057 per annum
Sleep‑in Allowance: £67.50 per sleep‑in, 10 sleeps per month = £8,000+ per year
Closing Date: Friday 28 November 2025

• Valid UK manual driving licence
• 21 years old or over
• No prior experience required – full induction and specialist training provided
• Understanding of the challenges children and young people may face
• Ability to build trust and form positive, supportive relationships
• Clear and confident communication with young people and professionals
• Accurate record keeping and reporting
• Compassionate, resilient and empowering attitude

• Full induction and specialist training – no experience needed
• Support to gain professional qualifications (HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3, or equivalent)
