Salary:
Up to £54,453 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

As a Teacher at Closeburn House, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, engaging learning experiences tailored to meet individual needs and help every pupil achieve their full potential. You will create stimulating lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence, monitor progress, support personal development, and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning.

No two days are the same – one moment you may be delivering creative classroom learning, the next you could be supporting pupils to overcome barriers, celebrating their successes or helping shape the future direction of the school.

What you will be doing
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and motivate pupils
  • Preparing, assessing and monitoring pupil progress and achievement
  • Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally to help them succeed
  • Preparing pupils for examinations and supporting assessment processes
  • Providing guidance and encouragement to support personal growth and wellbeing
  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and external professionals
  • Contributing to school development, improvement initiatives and curriculum planning
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare, health and safety of all pupils
