HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Description

Driver Hire are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver for our clients in Lockerbie. The job will be Monday to Friday and the start times for this role will usually be between 0600 and 0800. This is clean and tidy work from A to B, no self tipping but you will be required to open and close curtains on the trailer.

This role could lead to a full time position.

PAY RATE - £16.81 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

• Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

• Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence. Min 1 years experience.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Excellent driving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills
