Data Center- HSE Manager at Sundt Construction
Job SummaryA Project HSE Manager is an integral member of a project team, dedicated to the health and well-being of team members. The role facilitates Sundt HS&E programs, serving as safety resource and supports projects across three skill levels: I, II, and Sr. Step I is entry-level with short safety experience, Step II manages small to medium projects, and Sr manages larger, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct frequent safety walks/inspections of the project and adjacent property.
- Conduct site-specific safety orientations.
- Create, update, maintain, and facilitate the Project Environmental Management Plan.
- Create, update, maintain, and facilitate the Project Safety Management Plan.
- Facilitate the Sundt Safety Management and Illness Prevention Systems Manual on the project.
- Manage emergencies, incidents, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Review and file project safety documentation.
Job Requirements
- Certifications and licenses:
Preferred but not required (STSC, CHST, ASP, CSP). - Education:
High school diploma minimum; bachelor’s degree preferred. - Experience:
At least one year of full-time project safety experience. - Good written and verbal communication with proper grammar and spelling.
- High level of integrity for reporting incidents and events, upholding company policy.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Special skills:
Proficiency with various computer software and apps; bilingual preferred.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- May reach above shoulder height and below waist on a frequent basis.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
- Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices to communicate.
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, etc.
- Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects frequently.
- Interact with people frequently during a shift.
- Lift, push or pull objects occasionally.
- Sit, stand or walk short distances for the entire shift.
