Kitchen Staff - Cook - Server (also avail on Evenings, Weekends)
Plum Creek Recovery Ranch (PCRR) in beautiful Lockhart, Texas is seeking Food Support Staff to report to the Dietary Manager. The role is full time and is responsible for meal preparation and food supply, as well as the daily cleaning of the food service area and dining room in accordance with all related policies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist the Dietary Manager in maintaining inventory of kitchen and food supplies, as well as all related logs (temperature, storage, rotation, etc.)
- Ensure timely and appropriate preparation of three meals and additional snacks per day as scheduled per menu
- Maintain food handler permit and all required certifications
- Assist with maintaining policies and procedures for kitchen inspections and documentation of kitchen equipment checks
- Routinely inspect and ensure all equipment is running in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
- Follow routines for ensuring all food items are of quality and properly rotate food items
- Follow PCRR policy and procedure when preparing, cooking, and serving meals according to health department codes
- May assist with planning, ordering, and stocking of food and kitchen supplies
- Attend all required staff training sessions in accordance with PCRR and state licensing requirements, completing all training on time
- Adhere to and promote the PCRR Vision and Values while acting as a role model for others
- Other duties as assigned
- A minimum of 3 years of food preparation and kitchen experience (preferred)
- Texas Food Handlers Certificate required (ex: SERV Safe certification)
- Ability to use a computer when needed, including email, Microsoft Word, or websites

- Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing
- Work effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment
- Establish and consistently enforce appropriate boundaries with patients
- Model positive behavior and demeanor
- Willingness to learn about addiction and treatment modalities

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Must be 21+ years of age
