Medical Assistant– Gastroenterology –
Duly Health and Care
- Full-Time, 40 hours/week
- Hours:
Monday–Friday, day shift (no evenings or weekends) - Location:
Lockport, IL (travel required) - Compensation:
Base pay $21.43–23.63 (Medical Assistant) or $22.97–24.57 (Certified/Registered), plus shift differentials, bonuses, and incentives - Benefits:

- Greet patients, assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs measurement, and health history collection.
- Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first‑aid procedures.
- Assist with immunizations or injections (certified medical assistants).
- Handle prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, charting updates, and filing.
- Conduct onsite lab testing: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
- Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms.
- Provide excellent customer service, exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
- Travel may be required to assist other local clinics.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program or related health sciences coursework.
- Active medical assistant certification (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA) or willingness to obtain.
- CPR certification required or willing to become certified upon hire.
- Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
- Prior experience as MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or at least 2 years in a medical office assisting patient care.
- Experience using an electronic medical record preferred.
- College graduates from a health sciences program interested in patient care experience and pursuing a career in healthcare are welcome.
