Material Handler

Overview

RJW Logistics Group is hiring for Material Handlers with various shifts available. Roles include operating forklifts safely, handling inbound/outbound freight, and maintaining orderly warehouse operations. Employee Ownership Program information is included but not the core focus of duties.

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all safety policies and procedures.
• Load and unload RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers using proper procedures.
• Process outbound cross-dock freight as necessary and ensure shipments are correctly staged and loaded.
• Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Store stock properly in the warehouse and move products into storage racks.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift and load on trailers.
• Record and verify the accuracy of shipments against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensure all documentation is properly completed and maintain safety compliance, including seatbelt use while operating forklifts.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections and report any accidents or incidents immediately.
• Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and ensure dock doors are kept clear of debris or snow.
• Be flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and provide coverage to other shifts as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit-down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJs).
• Good stable work record and ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Experience with operating sit-down forklifts/EPJs and basic computer/handheld RF equipment preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED. Warehousing certifications are a plus.

• 1st Shift: Mon-Thu, 5:00am - 3:30pm
• C Shift: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, 5:00am - 3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: D Shift Tue-Fri, 4:00pm-2:30am
• E Shift: Sun-Wed, 4:00pm-2:30am

• 1st Shift: $18/hr (A Shift: $18/hr)
• 2nd Shift: $19/hr + $1/hr shift differential ($20/hr)
• E Shift: $20/hr + $1/hr shift differential ($21/hr)
