Program Overview- Three‑month paid residency program with a competitive salary
- Ideal for new‑graduate Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners, or those with no prior Urgent Care or Primary Care training
- Extensive one‑on‑one training with NP, PA or physician in Emory Healthcare Network Urgent Care clinics
- Thorough curriculum covers diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute conditions with hands‑on training for procedures
- Guaranteed employment after successful graduation
- Phase One:
Initial 90 hours of training with Medical Leadership, including regional trainers - Phase Two:
Provider works as a second provider in an approved regional center, meeting biweekly with Senior DCS or VPCS for skills check‑ins, mentoring and ongoing training
- Clinical skills: EKGs, X‑Rays (chest, abdomen, wrist/hand, ankle/foot, spine), occupational medicine
- Procedures: injections (Toradol, Rocephin, Decadron, Depo‑Medrol, Epi, vaccines), COVID, strep, flu, A1C, Hgb, glucose tests
- Direct training in suturing, laceration repair, incision & drainage, digital block, nail procedures, pelvic exam, eye exams
- Case workup for abdominal pain, sprains, fractures, MVAs, headaches, chest pain, anaphylaxis, bites/rashes, workman’s comp injuries, fever of unknown origin, stroke, dehydration, UTI/Pyelonephritis, STI, burns
- EMR proficiency and New Provider Training Guide utilization
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours/week for 3 months (480 total hours)
- Obtain DOT certification by completing the DOT course
- Pass the EMB Medicine Coding course exam
- Demonstrate proficiency on the residency program checklist
- Attend a New Provider Training Course if available in the region
- Pass the Residency Certification Exam administered by the CMO

- Program Retention Bonus up to $10,000 (partial disbursements at 12 and 24 months)
- Flexible work schedules: no nights, no on‑call, limited weekends; 3‑4 day rotation with 3‑4 days off each week
- Flat‑rate fee for medical services at CRH‑affiliated clinics for providers and family members
- Clinic closure dates:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter; early close on Christmas Eve and 4th of July - Annual merit increases and bonuses; yearly production bonus (Volume Incentive Program)
