The City of Locust Grove seeks a Planner (Planner I to Senior Planner, DOQ) for work in the Community Development Department to process rezoning applications, applications for permitting signs, buildings, land developments, variance and administrative requests such as zoning verification. Works on Comprehensive Plan and specialty plan areas such as our LCI Downtown Gateway Plan for redevelopment of downtown Locust Grove.
Locust Grove, GA has witnessed phenomenal growth in the past 20 years more than doubling in population and in land area. Once a sleepy Atlanta exurb, the city is now fully integrating with the Atlanta Metropolitan Area in becoming a logistics and manufacturing hub along with expanded health care and retail options.
