This position performs technical functions in the collection and analysis of water and wastewater samples and in the preparation of related reports.
- Collects and analyzes wastewater samples taken at different stages of the treatment process as required by EPA and Georgia EPD guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations and permit requirements.
- Collects and analyzes all drinking water samples as required by Georgia EPD, to include performing microbiological, chlorine, fluoride, and other tests.
- Prepares daily reports; maintains laboratory data and relays relevant data to plant operations personnel.
- Maintains and calibrates all laboratory equipment.
- Conducts quality control as required by department standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results.
- Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment.
- Maintain inventory of reagents and materials; handles chemicals in compliance with MSDS and other safety requirements.
