A Day in the LifeEvery time you fire up your machine, you'll know your work matters. As the Excavator Operator, you'll be loading scrap into a baler, prepping material, and keeping our yard running smoothly.
This is outdoor, hands-on work with equipment that makes a huge impact. You'll work alongside people who know their stuff and have your back every step of the way. It's fast, physical, and rewarding.
Who Shouldn't ApplyPlease do not apply if:
- You've never operated an excavator or a material handler in a scrap environment.
- You aren't comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
- You're not reliable or struggle to stay on task without constant supervision.
- Safety rules feel like suggestions to you.
- You have at least 5 years of experience operating excavators or cranes, especially with grapple buckets and magnets.
- You’re reliable, safety-focused, and always ready to work.
- You take pride in your equipment and inspect it daily.
- You’re a team player and communicate clearly with those around you.
You’ll play a big part in keeping our operations running efficiently. Your daily work will include:
- Operating excavators and material handlers to load scrap into a baler.
- Using grapple buckets and magnets to sort, move, and organize material.
- Conducting daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Following safety protocols and yard procedures.
- Working as part of a tight-knit, high-performing crew.
- 5+ years of heavy equipment experience in scrap, recycling, or a similar industry.
- Experience with magnet, shear, and grapple attachments.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in high-traffic industrial settings.
- Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude.
- Valid certifications preferred, but not required.
