• Travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting

• Administer prescribed ionizing radiation per treatment plan, verifying prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification
• Prepare the treatment room and equipment, including immobilization devices, and assist with patient positioning on the treatment couch
• Deliver the prescribed daily dose while observing radiation safety measures for patient and staff
• Explain procedures to patients and maintain clear communication during treatment
• Monitor patients for unusual reactions or evolving complications, and document findings; report reactions to the supervisor and department physician
• Maintain daily treatment logs and patient charts, ensuring accuracy of records and related reports; participate in clinical supervision and evaluation of students when applicable

• Current California licensure to practice radiologic technology; CA licensure required
• AART-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy) – Required
• RTT certification – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required; CPR certification or BLS – Preferred
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent;
  Master’s Degree – Preferred
• Experience:
  
  At least two years of recent radiologic technology experience
• Current nursing license per the state of assignment (as referenced in the job notes)
• Ability to work a travel assignment in the listed location and shift
