POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent and/or Shift Supervisor, this position supports the Production Department in all areas of manufacturing. This position is responsible for the correct function of the equipment; hand stacks boards or stakes and moves to inventory areas; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

General

• Packages different types of products
• Checks for defects on the equipment
• Stacks boards by hand and transfers them to the inventory yard.
• Assists machine operator as needed.
• Must always display team player attitude
• Communicates and reports any issues to the supervisor.
• Checks boards for defects or contamination.
• Continuously checks for quality.
• Maintains a clean work area
• Operates forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

• On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Able to read the tape measure.
• Ability to operate forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

• Standing, walking, talking/listening, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms
• Lifting up-to 50 pounds.

• Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
• Outdoor weather conditions.
• Extreme temperatures.
• Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

$17- $18.61/HOUR
