As a Hitch & Tow Vehicle Technician Apprentice, you’ll receive hands‑on training in the installation, service, and setup of towing and hitch systems for RVs and tow vehicles. You’ll work directly with experienced technicians to learn the safe, professional installation of towing equipment and components.
Typical Installations and Systems Include:
- Tow bars and base plates for flat towing
- Supplemental braking systems for towed vehicles
- 7-way and 6-way trailer wiring setups
- Brake controllers and electrical connections
- Fifth wheel and gooseneck hitch installations
- Reese Goose Box, Gen-Y, and other pin box systems
- Weight distribution hitches and sway control setups
- Safety cable routing and breakaway systems
- Camera and visibility system integrations
Types of Units You’ll Work On: Motorhomes, Fifth Wheels, Travel Trailers, Toy Haulers, Horse & Utility Trailers, and Tow Vehicles.
Brands We Service: Alliance, Brinkley, Coachmen, Dutchmen, Fleetwood, Forest River, Grand Design, Jayco, Keystone, Newmar, Outdoors RV, Winnebago, and more. (
Note:
We no longer accept RVs built before 2005 without a pre-inspection.)
- Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- High school diploma or equivalent (students still in school are welcome)
- Valid driver’s license
- Interest in automotive, trailer, or mechanical systems
- Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Desire for long-term growth and teamwork

We provide in-house and vendor-sponsored training
, giving you the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in the RV and towing industry. Apprentices gain hands‑on experience with real installations, learn safe practices, and grow into certified Hitch & Tow Vehicle Technicians.
