Facilities Maintenance Worker

Point Quest Education is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Worker!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform maintenance, repair, and construction tasks for buildings, facilities, and equipment.

* Undertake carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, and painting duties.

* Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work sites.

* Provide technical direction to substitutes or temporary help as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Combination of education, training, and experience in building trades.

* Basic knowledge and ability to install and maintain small garden watering/irrigation system as well as the

knowledge to maintain and care for a chicken coop and chickens; including small repairs to coop, cleaning,

watering, and feeding daily.

* Possession of a valid California driver's license with proof of insurability.

* Maintenance principles, practices, and techniques.

* Basic math, OSHA Safety Rules, and Regulations.

* Proficient use of hand and power tools.

* Ability to assess facility conditions and perform necessary actions.

* Effective communication and cooperation with team members and stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs.

* Manual dexterity for operating equipment and entering data.

* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed.

* Indoor and outdoor settings, exposure to varying weather conditions.

* Possible exposure to dust, chemicals, and diseases.

* Regular interaction with staff and the public.
