About the Role

The Calibration Asset Management Specialist manages internal, customer, and government-owned calibration assets throughout their lifecycle—from procurement and deployment to maintenance, calibration, and disposal. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations through accurate documentation, regular audits, and proper asset tracking. Key responsibilities include coordinating repair and calibration schedules, managing vendor relationships, enforcing asset usage policies, and maintaining detailed records for all asset categories to support quality assurance and operational efficiency.

Calibration
  • Ensure all in-house-calibrated tools and test equipment remain within their calibration intervals (“in CAL”) and do not expire.
  • Maintain detailed calibration records and asset histories within the asset management database, ensuring full traceability to applicable aerospace standards (e.g., ISO 17025, AS9100).
  • Coordinate on-site calibration services with minimal disruption to production and testing schedules, working closely with Program Management, Production Control, and Quality teams.
  • Support Test Engineering by coordinating the shipment, tracking, and return of customer-owned items requiring calibration or verification.
  • Manage and document any out-of-tolerance conditions found in-house or through external calibration providers, and initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Assist in audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate calibration records and certification documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve calibration efficiency, database accuracy, and process reliability across the organization.
Asset Management Internal Assets
  • Track, monitor, and maintain company-owned equipment, tools, and resources.
  • Ensure proper asset tagging, documentation, and database accuracy.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical and recorded assets.
  • Manage the lifecycle of assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Implement and enforce asset usage policies and procedures to prevent loss or misuse.
  • Coordinate repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain records of asset ownership, location, condition, and value.
Customer Assets
  • Receive, log, and verify customer-owned equipment entering the facility.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of customer assets to prevent damage or loss.
  • Communicate status updates and reporting to customers regarding their assets.
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, or service activities on customer assets as required.
  • Manage return or disposition of customer assets in accordance with agreements or contracts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer asset transactions and condition reports.
Government Assets
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, ISO, and local regulations regarding government-owned property.
  • Track, document, and report government assets in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular inventories and audits to meet government reporting requirements.
  • Manage the proper use, storage, and safeguarding of sensitive or regulated government property.
  • Coordinate maintenance, calibration, or upgrades for government assets while adhering to security and compliance protocols.
  • Maintain records for inspections, transfers, and disposal as required by government regulations.
