Edith Bowen Laboratory School is looking for School substitutes. This position is an as needed basis during the public school year. This person serves as a substitute for teachers or classroom aides that are absent. Jobs are typically assigned as either a half-day (4 hours) or full-day (7.5 hours). Compensation will be paid on a daily rate based on qualifications.
Compensation is:
Full Day/licensed/$100.00 per day-Half Day/licensed/$50.00 per day
Full Day/non licensed/$85.00 per day, Half Day/non licensed/42.50 per day
Job offer contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities- Provide supervision for a classroom or other groups of students as assigned.
- Ensure the safety of students and other employees.
- Communicate clearly with other employees and share a detailed report with the employee for whom they have substituted.
- Assist students in continued learning in the absence of their normal teacher or aide.
- Follow lesson plans as provided.
- Abide by all health and safety protocols at Edith Bowen Laboratory School and Utah State University.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Utah teaching license
