The Mora Mitchell Lab at Utah State University is seeking undergraduate and graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.) to begin Summer-Fall 2026.
Research in the lab focuses on craniofacial biology, utilizing vertebrate models. Existing projects encompass a wide range of areas, including genetic interactions, gene regulatory networks, cellular differentiation, and organogenesis. Candidates with experience and/or interest in these areas, as well as in morphometrics, FIJI, R, Python, machine learning or other programming languages, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Students will be funded through a combination of research and teaching assistantships. However, as part of their training, students will be encouraged to submit applications to acquire funding. Interested and qualified candidates must contact Dr. Jennyfer Mora Mitchell (jennyfer.mitchell) to discuss interests before applying.
Perseverance, honesty, opportunity, and respect for all are the pillars of the Mora Mitchell lab.
