Electric Power Systems (EPS) designs and manufactures advanced Energy Storage Systems that power the next generation of flight and mobility. Our technology enables electric and hybrid-electric propulsion for aircraft, spacecraft, and other high-performance applications. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and who wants to help advance aviation electrification.
This position is onsite at EPS Headquarters in North Logan, UT.
Position SummaryThe Project Engineer supports the design, development, and integration of high-voltage battery systems used in aerospace and transportation platforms. The role collaborates with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Test Engineers to ensure project activities, schedules, and deliverables are executed with precision and alignment across engineering and operations. The Project Engineer serves as the connector between technical contributors, program management, and supply chain, helping drive milestones, track progress, and ensure successful system integration.
Key focus is to ensure program deliverables meet aerospace standards and build readiness across cross-functional teams.
This position is onsite at EPS Headquarters in North Logan, UT.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate day-to-day engineering and project activities across multiple programs in the aerospace and defense sector.
- Maintain project schedules, configuration documents, and design reviews using EPS s structured development framework.
- Support hardware development, test execution, and data collection for prototype and production battery systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers to maintain BOM accuracy, manage engineering change requests, and track part releases.
- Interface with quality, supply chain, and operations to ensure build readiness and traceability to aerospace standards.
- Prepare concise technical reports and customer review materials summarizing engineering status and results.
- Identify blockers, follow up on action items, and support continuous improvement in project execution.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 1-4 years of engineering or project coordination experience in a hardware or systems development environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-energy, cross-functional engineering environment.
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or energy storage system programs.
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe engineering practices.
- Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and configuration control.
- Understanding of mechanical/electrical integration or environmental testing of aerospace components.
