Part-Time Dispatcher

Overview

A successful candidate will perform emergency and non-emergency communications and dispatch duties including receiving and prioritizing calls and requests for public safety departments; maintaining accurate status of all units on radio channels; record and relay information for police, fire and medical services; search public safety records for warrants, vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and other information; enter and retrieve information from computer;

maintain and operate a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system; operate multiple channel radio system; maintain confidentiality with information obtained through employment; and perform other duties as required to professionally serve the citizens and public safety responders of Cache County.

• Receiving and prioritizing calls and requests for public safety departments
• Maintaining accurate status of all units on radio channels
• Record and relay information for police, fire and medical services
• Search public safety records for warrants, vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and other information
• Enter and retrieve information from computer
• Maintain and operate a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system
• Operate multiple channel radio system
• Maintain confidentiality with information obtained through employment
• Perform other duties as required to professionally serve the citizens and public safety responders of Cache County

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to multi-task, provide exceptional service during stressful situations and work well in a team environment
