Job Description:This role involves leading and influencing Operational Excellence initiatives across multiple plants. The primary focus is on standardizing plant processes, ensuring disciplined execution, and equipment standardization. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, training, coaching, troubleshooting, monitoring, and developing business initiatives to reduce costs, increase capacity, mitigate operational risks, and enhance quality and safety. Mentoring Operational Excellence resources across sites is essential.
The position supports Master Scheduling and Lean/DMAIC project execution, leading and directing team efforts. The role emphasizes lean and six sigma methodologies, utilizing appropriate tools at optimal times. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, innovative, and hands-on, with a bias for Gemba and practical action. Responsibilities include implementing lean training and tools such as Structured Problem Solving (A3), Daily Management System, Standard Work, SMED, and advanced problem solving at Green Belt level.
This position is based at our Logan, UT plant.
Relocation Benefits:Includes a $10,000 bonus and a comprehensive relocation package for those moving over 50 miles.
Key Responsibilities:- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 8+ years in engineering, operations, or continuous improvement
- At least 5 years as a Black Belt (ASQ); 2+ years as a Master Black Belt preferred
- Proficiency with DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, Change Management
- Experience with high-volume continuous processes and experimental design
- Strong data analysis and statistical skills, including financial impact assessment
- Proficient in MS Windows, Minitab, MS Office
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of DFSS preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 15%
