The laser technician is responsible for setup and operation of the Laser machine, rollers, brake presses and other machines necessary within the weld/fabrication department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Program, setup, and operate the Laser cutter. Operate rollers, brake presses and machine polishers
- Read, verify, and understand blue prints and measurements in job traveler Work and program in Mastercam software.
- Keep up-to-date on new software specific to laser machine
- Work with Project Managers, Shop Foreman, Drafters, and Team Lead to ensure accuracy and job success
- Understand current job and machine processes Manage inventory of material for designated machines
- Follow direction from Team Lead, Shop Foreman, and General Manager to facilitate work processes
- Maintain a clean work space including regular cleaning of machines and equipment.
- 5 years of machining experience
- Proficient in Mastercam, at least 1 year experience
- Completion of a machining program from an accredited trade school
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
