- Bakery or Deli experience is helpful
- Retail experience
- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
- Use all equipment—including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens—according to company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes using appropriate kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Label, package, inventory ingredients and merchandise.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell‑by dates.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs.
- Promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations, guidelines, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents and safety concerns.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment; manage conflict responsibly.
- Act with honesty, integrity and follow directions to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
